Ally Brooke is about to make her feature film debut!

Former Fifth Harmony lead-singer and Dancing With the Stars 2nd runner-up Ally Brooke will star in CDW Films’ “High Expectations,” an upcoming drama about a soccer player’s journey toward success after rejection by his father.

The film’s plot follows Jack (Gray) as he works to join a rival soccer team after his father (Grammar), a former soccer star and current club owner, cuts him from the team. Matters are complicated by the fact that his brother is also on the team he is forced to leave — and eventually compete against.

Brooke’s starring role as Sofia, the main character’s ex-girlfriend, will mark the singer’s acting debut. She stars alongside Taylor Gray, Kelsey Grammar and Briana Scurry, a US women’s 1999 World Cup champion.

“I am beyond excited to be a part of this wonderful film and to breathe life into my beautiful character Sofia,” Brooke told Variety exclusively in a statement. “It has always been a dream of mine to branch out into acting, since moving out to LA with my parents at 12 years old.”

Jamie Foxx says He and Friend Garcelle Beauvais ‘Should Have Been Together’

Jamie Foxx was invited on Garcelle Beauvais podcast, Going To Bed With Garcelle. They played love interests on "The Jamie Foxx Show" which ran from 1996 to 2001

Jamie revealed they should have been together:

“I seen you with the dude, you introduced me — ‘This is my man,’ and it was all uncomfortable,” Foxx said. To which, Garcelle responded, “By the way, you never really give any guy that I’m with any real attention.”

“Ever. I hate them all,” Jamie said, adding, “I think me and you should have been together. So every time I see them, I’m always like, ‘Damn. I f*cked up.’ So every dude, I be like — I give them a really sh*tty look.” Garcelle responded, “I feel it, and they feel it.”

Selena Gomez Opens Up About Her Kidney Transplant Scar

When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through...and I’m proud of that. T - Congratulations on what you’re doing for women, launching @lamariette whose message is just that...all bodies are beautiful.

Selena had complications after her kidney transplant. "They had to take her into emergency surgery and get a vein from her leg and build a new artery to keep my kidney in place," Francia Raísa said back in 2018.

HBO Max orders "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" reboot

Earlier this month, it was reported that Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is developing a Pretty Little Liars reboot, HBO Max announced today that they have picked up the reboot titled "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" straight to series.

Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago...as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-RAGE, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.

Original series creator I. Marlene King is not involved in the project.
