White nominees need to pull an Angoulême and refuse their nominations. But the thirst is too real I guess.
Yeah I don't agree with that. I don't want the Oscars turning into the MTV Movie Awards and for films like Carol to get tossed aside just because they're not as well-known. If it's a particularly good film like The Dark Knight or Mad Max: Fury Road that's one thing, but I don't want to see any old blockbuster get nominated.

To be fair Carol isn't exactly having awards thrown at it. It's getting nominations certainly, but it doesn't look like it's going to win anything except maybe supporting actress.
