Yeah when I was a little kid I used to genuinally enjoy the early seasons and the cheesy storylines, I got really annoyed when it became all about keeping the male audience, so they would have like five minute slow-motion shots of the female characters seductively posing in the water lol

my grandmother looooooved baywatch. she always called it "exciting." she was a baptist uber republican. tbh, thank god she died forever ago, i probably would have hated her as an adult but as a kid, she gave me sugar-free neopolitan ice cream and let me stay up for golden girls and murder she wrote so she was bomb. but even as a 5 year old, i judged her love of baywatch.
