A back and forth game 5 between Texas and Toronto culminated in a bizarre, wild 7th inning that lasted some 50 minutes. Three errors in a row by Elvis Andrus with two outs, two fights, a weird, wrong call on the field that forced the umps to dig into one of the more arcane baseball rules, and a MASSIVE home run by Jose Bautista (who did perhaps the most cocky bat flip I've ever seen after) to give Toronto the lead were just some of the highlights of a truly bizarre 7th inning.
Royals manage to win it in game 5 for the hometown crowd, coming back from an early 2-0 score in game 5. We have an ALCS! Royals-Blue Jays. Tomorrow we'll find out who the Cubs will face in the NLCS!
Did Texas Governor Greg Abbott curse Texas baseball teams with his premature congratulatory tweet on Saturday? Is someone checking to make sure Elvis Andrus is okay? Which ball player will try to do a more theatrical bat flip next in MLB?
