Teasers for Downton Abbey 6x04

It's been a couple of weeks since we've had a Downton Abbey post, so here are some teasers for next week's episode so we can discuss what's happened so far and what is going to happen in the future.

The Carsons’ absence is keenly felt both above and below stairs, as Mr Barrow has stepped in as butler. Anna’s pregnancy hits a snag and Lady Mary’s eye is on more than the estate. Meanwhile, Daisy continues her crusade on behalf of Mr Mason.

Season 6 Episode 4 airs at 9pm on Sunday 4 October on ITV. To whet your appetite, here are ten teasing lines of dialogue from the episode…

“The King should not rely on my support.”

“No more Miss Buntings, if you have any pity.”

“Mama is an old intriguer. She will use tears or terror with equal facility.”

“Why couldn’t he have stayed behind, with a tray on his lap?”

“You couldn’t be harder on those potatoes if you wanted them to confess to spying.”

“No one has sharper eyes than a loving son.”

“All right, Madam Defarge. Calm down and finish that mash.”

“You’re quite capable of landing our own punches.”

“Would you think it terribly common if I gave you my card?”

“I know now where I can lay me bones.”

“A monkey will type out the Bible if you leave it long enough.”
