The Basic Instinct 2 star has revealed that when she guest starred in several episodes of Law and Order: SVU back in 2010, that was the point where she considered her career had hit rock bottom. She considered her stint to climbing up a hill of broken glass, but sucked it up since a job is a job and it was on her path to working her way back up. So says ADA Jo Marlowe:
"That was humiliating. Having worked with the finest people in the industry, I was like, ‘Wow, I’m really at the back of the line here. I’m wearing L’eggs panty hose, and in makeup they start out by putting this white primer on my face.’ I’m like, ‘This is so bad. What did I do to deserve this?"
In 2001, she had a stroke, caused by a ruptured vertebral artery that took 22 platinum coils to repair. The result was a shift in her personality, which made her more abrasive and harsh. She considers this more emotionally intelligent, and even though she admits it scares people, she says it's not her goddamn problem and "It’s like, I have brain damage; you’ll just have to deal with it.”
