The FBI has requested texts between Jared Fogle, of Subway fame, and a female franchisee with whom Jared was once romantically involved that reveal Jared paid for sex with a 16-year-old girl.
The now former franchisee reported the conversation to her Subway higher-ups, but they brushed it off, having no documentation of the report. However, the franchisee's lawyer stated that Subway allowed the franchisee to remove Jared-affiliated advertising from her store.
In the texts, Jared asks the franchisee to advertise sex on Craigslist, then asked if he can watch and would pay her $500 per session. When the franchisee asked Jared about sex he had with a 16-year-old girl for $100, he responded that it was "amazing!!!!"
In an affadivit the FBI submitted to the franchisee's lawyer says a court reporter recorded the texts in 2008 witnessed by a notary public.
Since Subway suspended Jared when news broke of the FBI raiding his home, the US attorney's office has taken on the case but will not confirm if has begun an investigation.
Jared's attorney insists the stories are fabricated and "lack credibility."
