"I appreciate all she's going to do for the community I think it's wonderful. I just am surprised at how many girlfriends she has all of a sudden. I'm so surprised at how much she's showing these stories all of a sudden," she said. "Stories of other people in the community and the struggle and the transition... and I think it's wonderful and yes it needs a light being shined on it It's just a lot for me in one show and you just came out and you're just doing this now. I mean when I came out I didn't go and go hardcore and be like I'm gonna save the world for LGBT! You gotta learn it. You gotta learn it first and she's not really..."
Rosie Perez then cut in suggestion that maybe Caitlyn had just been waiting for the proper platform and that she was maybe being strategic so that she could reach more people both nationally and worldwide.
"She could be strategic but I think you can be strategic beforehand before you come out as well," she replied. "I mean beforehand I was definitely repping the community beforehand when I wasn't saying this is what I was and I'm not faulting you because yes we need you but it felt like oh so now you are so now you represent... I don't know. That's just me. It's just too fast too soon..."
The conversation then turned to Caitlyn's appearance, as it almost always does, saying how she seemed to go from "Bruce got a manicure" to "full glam" and "Lana del Rey" overnight. Raven mentioned that "It's amazing what you can look like with a lot of money" and that not all trans people can look like Caitlyn.
"I just want a slower progression," she said.
