I feel like he'll be mediocre, not embarrassing so long as the dialogue isn't too overly corny but nothing to write home about either.

You should be more concerned with Henry's terrible Superman and the miscasting of Lex Luther than focusing on what Batfleck will do with the role

I wanted to love Man of Steel, but Henry eye candy aside, I was unimpressed. Batman v Superman doesn't look too promising either.

I read a really good analysis on Zod that helped me to appreciate the film more.

yeah, I liked Zod's motivations. I kind of felt bad for him.

The trailer was a CGI nightmare in worst possible way, while Suicide Squad's was not.

Superman made BANK overseas, so I see the new one doing well overall, but Suicide Squad is going to kill it here in North America compared to it.

I think it's the hype over the new Joker, the hype over the fact that the trailer wasn't supposed to be posted online, and the fact that BvS already had a mediocre teaser trailer released a few months back.

But anyway, there's no way SS will outgross BvS because BvS is in IMAX 3D, will be PG-13, will have a ridiculous marketing push early next year, and has at least two months in theatres without any remarkable competition.

SS will probably be Rated R, especially if Deadpool does well. It's not in 3D, it's released in the summer so it faces a shit ton of competition, and it doesn't lend itself very well to merchandise. Only the Hot Topic crowd will be into it. Soccer moms will flat out refuse toys with the word "SUICIDE" on the box.

I agree, Superman and Batman and legendary and it will be big. Suicide squad is not as known. It's new so lets see what it is, doesn't mean they will pay to see it later.

suicide squad has suicide in the title, the premise involves exploding heads (and at least one main character will be decapitated), and all of the main characters are brutal murderers and it would be ridiculous if the movie didn't have any blood in it.

david ayer's last film, fury, had a lot of blood and gore and had an r rating.

this picture is so embarrassing for the BvS team lol. you can tell their collectivity is shit. but it's not like holly hunter films with amy adams and ben affleck in the same scene, you know? all of the characters are pretty separate from each other. meanwhile the entire suicide squad cast filmed scenes together, and david ayer is all about teambuilding in his movie casts (just look at fury).
