Laverne Cox Roundup! Cover of EW's LGBT Issue, Caitlyn Jenner, and Madame Tussads

Laverne covers Entertainment Weekly's first LGBT issue in 15 years!  The issue hits stands tomorrow!

On Caitlyn Jenner's coming out:   "It feels like a new day, indeed, when a trans person can present her authentic self to the world for the first time and be celebrated for it so universally."

On the scrutiny that Caitlyn has received: “This is why I’m so grateful that I had the luxury of transitioning in private. Because when you transition in the public eye, the transition becomes the story. I’m always disturbed when I see conversations about trans people that focus on surgery. But I believe Caitlyn will transcend this moment.”

On June 26th, Laverne's wax figure will be unveiled at the San Franscisco Madame Tussads museum during the annual LGBT Pride Festival.  She will be the first transgender individual to be featured in any MT museum.

Laverne commented, " When I think about being who I am, a black trans woman from a working class background raised in Mobile, Alabama, this honor feels even more improbable and extraordinary. I hope that this will be a source of inspiration for everyone who encounters it to believe that their dreams matter and are possible."

I hope Laverne was nominated for a tag in the tag request post!  Also where did the "Rules" page go?  Can't avoid banned sources if I don't know em!
