Could Jaime Lannister die in Game of Thrones Season 5?

Summary of article

GRRM has said that the show will kill off characters that haven't died in the book yet.

An anonyomous actor said this in a recent interview:

I thought this season I was going to have more to do, and I was really looking forward to that. And then I got my dates from my agent and I thought, ‘That doesn’t tally.’ Because there was no way if they were sticking to the books that I should be in for that number of weeks. It seemed to me they must be writing me out. The [showrunners] rang me and told me, ‘Your time is up in this series.’ I’m disappointed, but you have to accept that the demands of TV are different. I find myself being quite emotional about it. I’m going to miss it.

He could die because his A Feast for Crows storyline has been completely cut

The seige of Riverrun has been cut and instead he'll be going to Dorne on a rescue mission for Myrcella on Cersei's demand.

This could also indicate that Jaime's storyline in the Riverlands was never that important in the books in the first place.

He Could Be Taking The Place Of Arys Oakheart

Arys Oakheart is a knight whose job is to protect Myrcella in the books. Arys's involvement in Arianne Martell's plot to crown Myrcella leads to his death.

He Might Not Last Long In The Books, Either

Brienne is taking Jaime to Lady Stoneheart in the books who wants him dead.

Cersei's Prophecy has been changed

A plot armor that people believe is a reason to keep Jaime alive in the books has been removed from the TV show. In Cersei's flashback scene, there is no mention of her own death, or valonqar or Jaime.

In the books Maggy the Frog tells Cersei that after her tears have drowned her the valonqar will strangle her to death. Valonqar means younger brother, Cersei believes that Tyrion is the valonqar but most believe it is actually Jaime as he is the younger twin. So since valonqar is cut, its possible that D&D might not plan on following on this Jaime/Cersei plot.

On the other hand, the parts about the younger more beautiful queen and her children dying have been included on the show.
