Ashley Evans and Antony Ginandjar, the creative directors from The Squared Division, have worked with many A-list performers like Kylie Minogue and Taylor Swift but it's their experiences with the Queen of Pop and the ultimate Party girl that have left the biggest impression on them. This is what they had to say about working with Britney Jean:
"For us, she was just such a hard worker. She was so focused and wanted to learn the whole show in one day. We kept having to slow her down."
They also said the noted performer was a very hard-worker.
"It’s so rare to have a rehearsal time start at nine o’clock and have the call time at 12. Britney would always be 15-minutes early. She’s just so keen and so lovely. We loved her."
"Working with songs that we grew up with and dance video clips and iconic performances and work to them was so surreal."
Working with Kesha was a bit more surreal, particularly because of the singer's affinity with tattoos:
"Kesha is pretty wild,' Antony revealed.
"Kesha is what you think she is"- she loves a party, likes to have a good time and she’s just a lot of fun."
One of the choreographers also came dangerously close to getting a tattoo from Kesha herself!
"Kesha likes to tattoo people. I’ve come very close. She said, "Okay, are you going to let me tattoo you tonight?", and I said, "you know what, we've been on this journey for a long time, if anyone's going to tattoo me or make a mark on me, it's going to be her".
"But then, I was actually too tired and I didn't go out that night, so I didn't get the tat. I was just going to get a little one on my wrist. And her tattoo expertise is pretty much straight lines or like small letters or a love heart. Very, very basic".
The choreographers also praised the singer's creativity:
"Keisha (Britney's impacT) allows us to be and think completely outside of the box. She allows us to do whatever we want and if we come to her with an idea she adds something to it that makes it even more wackier, crazier"
