New changes in the Olympics: Any country with anti-gay laws could now be banned from hosting

iTPEt6ESUcac

-The International Olympic Committee approved a new proposal of the 202 Olympic Agenda to expand the non-discrimination clause as to include sexual orientation.

-This means that from now on countries with national laws that actively discrimate against LGBT people will not be allowed to apply to host. However the IOC has not specified if this will affect any of the future bids.

-Several people had been arrested at the Sochi Olympics in Russia this year as a result of the country's newly imposed ~gay propaganda~ laws.

-The 2016 Summer Olympics will be held in Rio De Janeiro Brazil while the 2020 ones at Tokyo, Japan.
-The 2018 Winter Olympics will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The 2022 Games host country has not yet been decided however the only two candidates so far are Almaty, Kazakhstan (which is considering a similar anti-gay propaganda law to Russia's) and Beijing, China
