Who went home on Masterchef Junior??

S2E4: An Egg-Cellent Adventure: WATCH FULL EP

Now down to the final eight, this week's episode's opening challenge featured the sunny side up egg. The junior chef with as many perfect eggs in 10 minutes got a huge advantage in the main challenge, which was to create a signature dish to serve at the contestants' future restaurants. Lots of cuteness as usual, with each kid showing their drawings of their dream restaurants (Gordon even owns Samuel speaks some French!).

Unfortunately, only six could stay in the competition, and two bb chefs--and arguably one no one saw coming this soon in the competition--left the show.

The first challenge, as many perfect sunny side eggs as possible in 10 minutes, was judged harshly. Many eggs were thrown away by the judges, thus quantity was deceptive. The twist? The number of perfect eggs = the number of ingredients allowed in the next challenge!
-Abby: 2 eggs
-Adaiah, Oona: 4 eggs
-Josh, Levi: 5 eggs
-Logan: 7 eggs
-Samuel: 8 eggs
-♕ Sean ♕: 10 eggs!!

So King Sean prevails again and gets the most ingredients (10) in the signature dish challenge. Abby has to make do with 2 :O No one was automatically saved.

Their dishes:

ABBY: broiled salmon, asparagus five ways

Verdict: rave reviews. Salmon was cooked perfectly and Gordon liked her creativity and couldn't believe she only had 2 ingredients.

♕ SEAN ♕:

Verdict: rib eye overcooked :( More medium-well when they wanted medium. Sauce and potatoes good.

LEVI:

Verdict: salmon overcooked :(

ADAIAH:

Verdict: they liked everything about it. Commented on smart ingredient selections.

OONA:

Verdict: overcooked scallops :( Rubbery. Kudos for creativity though. And yes she stressed out in her usual perfectionist manner. Poor kid. Teenage years gonna be hard on her.

LOGAN:

Verdict: perfect steak, underseasoned/overcooked rice. He had soy foam thing going on but it didn't get foamy enough and he left it off the plate. Started crying, got a hug from Gordon.

JOSH:

Verdict: overcooked duck :( Questioned for using one of his ingredient choices on cilantro; Graham thought he could've chose more wisely.

SAMUEL:

Verdict: top dish of the night. Grabbed cucumber by mistake (meant to get zucchini) but it worked out with lots of props from Gordon. Samuel remains smug as usual, plans to name his restaurant Le Samuel. (Can you tell I don't like this kid? lol)

In the end, the bottom 4 were those with overcooked proteins: Sean, Oona, Levi and Josh. Which two went home?

Levi & Josh!
(How convenient for me that their images were side-by-side on the site. Are you surprised to see Levi being eliminated so soon and not making the Top 2 or 3? I am. Shame cause Levi is AWESOME. Oona's cute and does have talent but I'm convinced they're keeping her for the entertainment factor. Levi's just too chill.)

When asked who was gonna win Masterchef Junior, Josh picked Samuel or Sean.
(Of course Sean. I stan Sean and so should you.)
