Fher Olvera, vocalist of Mexican rock band Mana, confirmed today that the debut single of their new album features Shakira and will be coming out soon. The song is titled "Eres Mi Verdad."
The band has been filming the video in Barcelona with director Jaume de Laiguana (who has directed way too many videos of varying qualities for Shakira before, including "Don't Bother" and the masterpiece known as "No").
After weeks of rumors and speculations, Olvera finally confirmed the collaboration today via Facebook. Shakira has been a long-time Mana fan, and they were together last weekend at Camp Nou watching Shakira's boyfriend play.
Shakira is expecting her second child and she will start working on her new Spanish album after giving birth in January 2015. The new album will supposedly be released in the second semester of 2015 (I can only pray).
In case you didn't know it, Mana is one of the biggest Spanish-speaking bands and it has been active for about 25 years now, selling about 25 million albums around the world.
