Amy Adams, who has been set to play Janis for years now, is officially attached. Jean-Marc Vallée, the Director of C.R.A.Z.Y. and Dallas Buyers Club, has signed on as director. Ron and Theresa Terry are the screenwriters for the film, which has the working-title of Get It While You Can.
Janis Joplin rose to fame in the late 60's with her blues-rock artistry, only to die at the age of 27 from a Heroin overdose.
