Taylor walking through Narita Airport in Tokyo after completing some promo for that one album everyone already bought.
Girl really likes all her shit high-waisted, but I just can't imagine that it's good for the cootchie coo all the damn time :/
5 Covers + Collabs you may not have known about!
During her Speak Now Tour, Taylor invited Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World to perform "The Middle" with her for a sold out show in Phoenix, Arizona. The fact that she talks about how much the song meant to her (and all of us prepubescent little girls drowning in teenage angst) just makes her even more endearing and relatable. (Or annoying, but haters can seethe.)
I'm sure this video was pretty widely circulated after the initial performance, but no one can deny the novelty (and cuteness) of Taylor doing her best Becky-ass cover of "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. She adds a cool country twang to it; it'd be cool if she performed this again with a less charming execution.
Taylor did some of her best White Girl™ dancing when she brought out Usher to perform "Yeah!" at a sold out show in Atlanta. Yeah it's kind of awkward, but it's so fun and I think it's a sign of a good artist that she's constantly inviting artists and performers outside her genre. Though Taylor has yet to put out a hip hop or rap record, she's brought out T.I., Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, BoB, and Nelly as special guests before during her tours. Fingers crossed for a hip hop collab in the near future?!
Taylor is a big fan of Neon Trees, and would later go on to have lead singer Tyler Glenn perform "Everybody Talks" with her on her Red Tour two years later. This cover of "Animals" is just too good to not watch. Taylor doesn't have the best voice (as we all know) but her earnestness and charisma shines through best during stripped down performances like this. Plus, as far as vocals, she proves she can deliver here.
I couldn't make a list about her covers and special guest performers at her concerts without including the infamous "Jenny from the Block" performance during her Red tour in LA. Pretty sure most ontders were rolling their eyes hard enough to fall out at the time, but watching the performance and seeing all the work Taylor put in to execute the surprise so well (she learned hip hop choreo! lmao) shows how much she cares about showing her fans a good time.
Also, if you feel like my choices didn't do her justice, check out this YT playlist with 104 videos of all her collabs and covers from her Speak Now/Red Tour.
Looking through YouTube, you can find hundreds of covers and special guest spots Taylor has done on her tours, which is what makes this upcoming 1989 tour even more exciting! Any guesses/hypotheses on who she'll bring out as guests on this next tour?!
I s2g it's fixed! ack sorry!
