LOLAWOLF (fronted by Zoë Kravitz) released the weirdest album this past October and noone knew about it. The debut LP, titled Calm Down, sees Kravitz and company diving into a mess of Hip-Hop and Experimental Electronic, with R&B vibes thrown into the mix. One of their recent singles from the project, Ayo, is a cute little bop with a trippy 90's-esque video to accompany it. Indulge below:
Lolawolf has also been opening for Miley on the Bangerz Tour in Austraila. So, yeah. Werk that teen demographic, Zoë!
I've always been here for Zoë. She has that "I'm so different" fever and i'm not even mad. They're very much an acquired taste, though. Lolawolf's sound is giving me grungy Bloc Party meets Santigold, which can be good or bad. Check out the full-length album on iTunes or Spotify (for the broke girls). Hope this is good, mods!
