Björk will return next year with a brand new studio album. The Icelandic songstress made the revelation in a post explaining why she couldn’t attend the London premiere of her film, Biophilia Live.
“We are so sorry, but since Björk is already working on her next album (out in 2015!) she can not come to the ‘Biophilia Live’ premiere at the London Film Festival this week,” the posting reads.
Björk’s previous album, 2011’s Biophilia, was part of an ambitious multimedia collection that encompassed music, apps, museum installations, and live performances, in addition to the aforementioned film. Little is know about her latest project, though Venezuelan producer Alejandro Ghersi, aka Arca, previously announced he’s been tagged to co-produce the LP. Arca previously worked on records for Kanye West and FKA twigs.
With a new album and an exhibit at MOMA, next year will now be called 2015 AD of Our Lord and Queen Björk
