She thought she was signing an autograph for a fan, but Lindsay Lohan was shocked when she was served court papers at an event in Beverly Hills over the weekend.
The actress is being dragged to testify in a lawsuit against her mother.
Dina Lohan is being accused of theft and fraud relating to a 2002 music deal.
When presented with the papers, an onlooker said, "Lindsay was absolutely horrified and threw the papers on the ground."
Poor Lindsay. One parent is in jail, and the other may be going there soon!
EDIT: perez has added more:
Lindsay Lohan was served a legal summons on the red carpet Friday night.
Here's how it went down:
"Lindsay Lohan attended the 21st Annual American Cinematheque Award Honoring George Clooney last night. Everyone was there including Julia Roberts. On her way out Lindsay was served legal papers subpoenaing her to appear in court. Standing right behind Lindsay, Rumour Willis got to watch the whole thing. Here's what happened. A woman came over and Lindsay thought she was asking for an autograph. According to our photographer, Lindsay said, "You're my first autograph". The woman replied, "You've been served!" Lindsay immediately dropped the papers to run after the process server. Lindsay was pissed! According to Antonio Almeida the lawsuit is for Lindsay's mom, Dina Lohan. She is being sued by producers Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait for tens of thousands of dollars for violation of contract, fraud, theft, and other violations.
Seems that in 2002 Dina signed a contract with Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait to help with Lindsay's music career. Almeida and Chait have filed suit against Dina claiming that they recorded half an album with Lindsay and Emilio Estefan in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 Dina signed a contract with Tommy Mattola's record company, Casablanca Records. Tommy and Casablanca produced Lindsay's two albums, "Speak" and "A Little More Personal". Almeida and Chait allege they leant Dina money for Lindsay music."
