We were extra-stoked to hear about Jimmy Buffett’s recent drug bust because it meant that we finally had a reason to show you all this amazing gem from the height of Drug War craziness. The star-studded video for the uber-schmaltzy anti-drug song “Stop the Madness” features David Hasselhoff, New Edition, a really young Whitney Houston (ah, the irony), La Toya Jackson, Herb Alpert, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Casey Kasem and Nancy Reagan looking really uncomfortable/frightened. But the real highlights are footage of a rabid monkey and multi-colored toast, which we assume is meant to illustrate the kinds of crazy hallucinations you have when you’re on drugs. Is that supposed to be a deterrent? Who doesn’t love monkeys and toast? Maybe they figure if they make a completely ludicrous video that makes you feel like you’re tripping already, you won’t feel like indulging in the naughty stuff. Anyway, we’re gonna go get high now.
Look for a cheesy Schwarzenegger appearance around 4:15. Really funny.
