Albert Hammond, Jr. solo tour dates, etc.

Albert Hammond, Jr. of The Strokes is releasing a solo record! That's old news, but for those of you who haven't yet heard, it's called Yours To Keep and it will be released through Rough Trade Records. The album drops Monday, October 9th in the UK and according to his official MySpace page, which is run by Wiz Kid Management, it will be released in Europe and Japan by the end of the year, and they're working on plans to release it in the US and the rest of the world soon.

"Yours To Keep" was recorded in New York at Electric Ladyland Studios, LoHo Studios, and Cabin In The City with Albert as guitarist and vocalist, Josh Lattanzi on bass and Matt Romano on drums. (Matt played drums for the Strokes when Fabrizio Moretti broke his hand, and he's their drum tech and stuff.) Other contributors to the record include: Julian Casablancas, Jody Porter (Fountains of Wayne), Ben Kweller, Sean Lennon, Chris Feinstein, Mikki James, Sammy James Jr. (The Mooney Suzuki) and Ryan Gentles. The album was produced by Greg Lattimer (of New York's Thin Lizard Dawn) and it's just a side-project; Albert isn't leaving the band.

I love her music very much and am always proud to hear it."
