Calvin Harris has defended his decision to block Rita Ora's Teen Choice Awards performance.
The DJ and ex-boyfriend of the British popstar is the sole writer and producer of her track 'I Will Never Let You Down', so has to approve any televised performance of the track.
However, Ora revealed yesterday (August 12) that Harris denied her permission to perform the track at the American awards show this past weekend.
"You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life," Harris tweeted, in response to Ora's claims.
"But just know I had a damn good reason," he added, before tweeting an emoji of a hand waving goodbye.
'I Will Never Let You Down' reached number one in the UK back in May, marking Ora's fourth British chart-topper of her career so far.
Harris had also worked on more tracks for Ora's forthcoming second studio album, but it is not yet known whether they will make the final tracklisting.
