La Roux – aka Elly Jackson – previously collaborated with West on his 2010 Grammy Award-winning track 'All Of The Lights,' while West featured on a remix of La Roux's debut single 'In For The Kill'.
When asked to discuss her work with West by The Sunday Times, Jackson replied: "No, fuck him! Nobody likes him."
Jackson – whose new album 'Trouble In Paradise' is now streaming in full online – explained why the record took over two-and-a-half years to make: "The thing that took the longest was the effortlessness," she said. "Sometimes we'd sit there for hours, listening back to a song and going 'But it's not effortless.' So we'd do it again and again, until it sounded like we'd done it in our fucking sleep. We let ourselves be cheeky, let ourselves not give a damn what anyone else thought."
Jackson, who has previously revealed that she thinks her new album is "a lot sexier" than her debut, added: "In the daytime I'm not plagued by my sexuality. And then you'll be asleep at night, and you suddenly wake up and think 'What is wrong with me? Do I really want that?' Or, 'Did I have to wake up then? Couldn't I have at least come?' Jesus. It's meant to be a sexy album. I wrote it, and I wanted to have sex the whole bloody time."
During the course of recording the LP, Jackson separated from musical partner Ben Langmaid, and recently told NME that "there wasn't a great deal of understanding" between them when it came to making new music.
