Miley Cyrus is bringing a female pop star with an equally sharp tongue on tour next month, as Lily Allen will join the Bangerz trek for a select group of U.S. dates.
The "Sheezus" singer will hop aboard the wrecking ball on Aug. 1, swinging into Uniondale, N.Y. and performing on a total of seven dates. Sky Ferreira and Icona Pop previously opened for Cyrus on the trek, which had a string of shows rescheduled when Cyrus was hospitalized due to an allergic reaction in April.
Less than a month after the support dates, Allen will kick off her own tour in support of third album "Sheezus" on Sept. 9 in Miami. Allen performed her first New York show in five years in May, wowing the Highline Ballroom crowd and calling Cyrus a "fearless bitch" during the show.
In case you can't get enough Miley, a two-hour behind-the-scenes special on her Bangerz run will air on NBC on Sunday night (July 6). The creative director behind the TV special describes Cyrus' performance as "intense and wild. She’s got a thrilling command of her stage and the room; this is something I was excited by in the edit."
