King Kendrick is coming. A year-and-a-half after releasing his debut, the Compton MC has announced his sophomore album United States of A.L.A.R.M. According to the image above (via Rap Radar), the highly-anticipated follow-up to good kid, m.A.A.d city will arrive in September.
While details remain scarce, he has quietly been working on the project. “I’m in the studio with ideas and things like that, and just seeing where it takes me,” he told MTV News last month. “I look at each project as a journey.”
He does realizes the pressure he faces to deliver a worthy successor. “A lot of expectations,” said Kendrick. “I can’t give a stable idea of what I’m doing, but it will definitely be a deal.”
In addition to his own album, a Black Hippy compilation is in the works.
