Marvel Teams With NASA for 'Avengers' Times Square Exhibit

Marvel is launching into space ahead of August’s Guardians of the Galaxy release, with the company teaming with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration -- NASA to its friends -- and Victory Hill Exhibitions to launch Marvel’s Avengers STATION, a new exhibition promoting the science behind Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Avengers STATION -- which stands for Scientific Training And Tactical Intelligence Operative Network -- is an exhibit at Discovery Times Square in New York City that invites attendees to be trained as SHIELD agents (Clearly, someone didn’t see Captain America: The Winter Soldier) by engaging in specially created STEM-based educational tasks.

In addition to NASA, other organizations working on the project including the Science & Entertainment Exchange program of the National Academy of Sciences, Neuroverse and Gamedesk, with the exhibition revealing the fictional location of Asgard, technological secrets behind Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit and what happens to Bruce Banner neurologically when he turns into the Incredible Hulk.

Marvel’s Avengers STATION begins May 23.
