Scott Eastwood to Star in Film Adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' 'The Longest Ride'

Scott Eastwood (Gran Torino, Texas Chainsaw 3D) is set to headline Fox 2000's upcoming adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' latest novel, The Longest Ride. The adaptation is planned to hit theaters on April 3, 2015.

The Longest Ride, published last fall, follows two sets of lovers in two intertwining stories. The first story is told through flashbacks of a 90-year-old veteran's life and the love he has for his departed wife. The second story follows a student who falls in love with a similarly-wounded bull rider.

George Tillman Jr. is directing, with Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Theresa Park and Robert Teitel producing alongside Sparks.
