Orange is the New Black Season 2 Spoilers: Everything We Know So Far

Is it just us, or does the wait for the premiere of Orange is the New Black Season 2 feel like an eternity? Well, while you’re sitting there circling June 6 over and over on your desk blotter (i.e., National Netflix Binge Day), why not let some teasers and light spoilers whet your appetite?

When asked about how beating up Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett (Taryn Manning) will affect Piper’s storyline in Season 2, Taylor Schilling told the audience. “I think that what happens throughout the season is that she continues to evolve,” she muses. “The outside sort of arranges around her, kind of shifts as her insides continue to shift, and she continues to sort of find new parts of herself, and find herself in prison. So she shifts."

As for her relationship with Larry, Jason Biggs says it’s not over ‘til it’s over. "Season 2 is pretty much spent with them figuring out if the damage that was done is too great for the relationship or if it's something they can fix and get through." Naturally, they’ll face even more challenges — because their relationship isn’t hard enough with one of them in prison and in love with her ex! Speaking of whom...

We’re reassured to hear Jenj again confirm that Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) will be appearing in more than one episode, contrary to an early rumor. "Yeah, the funny thing is that it was a scheduling thing that happened with another project, and Jenji and I were like, cool, we're going to work it out so Alex can be in as many as possible," Laura says. "The storyline that happened is going to be awesome and shocking and rad and fans are going to be really happy."

While we’re glad to hear that Alex is back and has a satisfying storyline, we’re really bummed to hear that one of our other favorite characters, Suzanne Warren (aka Crazy Eyes) may be leaving the Litch! “I know that she’s leaving,” actress Uzo Aduba says, though she doesn’t say where she’s going and if it’s for good. However we’ll get to know a lot more about Suzanne, including some insight into whether or not she’s actually crazy.

Continuing with the theme of focusing on more of the prisoners’ back stories, we’ll also get to learn a lot more about Taystee Jefferson, who will break out of her “comedic relief” box a little in Season 2.

"I feel like Taystee definitely shocked me Season 2, some of the choices that she made" says Danielle Brooks. "I'm excited to see audiences' reaction, fans' reaction to what's going on with her.”

If we had to put a finger on a villain for Season 1, we guess it would have to be George "Pornstache" Mendez (Pablo Schreiber), but this year it’s a fellow inmate making things difficult causing the most conflict. Lorraine Toussaint plays Vee, a drug lord who uses kids to run her product and is used to being large and in charge. If you think that’s going to be a problem for Red (Kate Mulgrew), you’re not wrong.
