Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has hit back at critics who called the photos she shared of herself breastfeeding her son 'classless'.
The 21-year-old, who gave birth to son Lincoln Marshall Marroquin in November, uploaded two images to her Instagram account, which boasts more than 840,000 followers, yesterday.
She was stunned when negative feedback began rolling in, with one follower commenting on the intimate snaps: 'What's with all the boob pics?! We get it, you breastfeed! Geesh! Have some class woman.'
Another said sarcastically: 'You can't possibly feed a baby without snapping pics and posting on twitter . . . posting pics of breast feeding is classless.'
Kailyn was quick to respond to critics, writing on one of the pictures: 'Oh, but then do you cover YOUR face while you're eating though.'
In one of the photos she posted online, Kailyn is seen sitting in a chair nursing her baby boy, with his head covering most of her assets.
Another shows her posing for a happy family shot with her husband Javi Marroquin as she continues to breastfeed her baby.
According to Examiner.com, she was backstage filming the Teen Mom 2 reunion show when she took the photo of her little one nursing.
While some followers left offensive comments on her Instagram, which she seems to have since taken down, others defended her right to breastfeed her baby.
'I LOVE how your nursing in this picture, so cute!!' wrote one fan. 'I still BF my son who is almost 1 and its the best bond!! Your my favorite, and a great mom! [sic]'
Another said: 'This is exactly what we need in today's society!! This is NORMAL! We need a good example to show people that breastfeeding mothers have rights too. We need to normalize breastfeeding in public.'
Kailyn gave birth to her first son, Isaac, with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera in January 2010 on the second second of MTV's 16 and Pregnant.
She and Jo broke up when Isaac was just a few months old, and she married her new love Javi in a sea-themed wedding in September 2012.
The Pennsylvania native, who works as a dental assistant, was heavily pregnant at the wedding, so she had designers from Alfred Angelo custom-make a gown to fit her baby belly.
