Zooey Deschanel is developing Fox's animated fairytale comedy 'Queen of Everything'

Zooey Deschanel’s ties with Fox just got a half-hour deeper.
The “New Girl” star will executive produce the half-hour animated workplace comedy “Queen of Everything” for the network.
The show is a modern fairytale about an evil queen who realizes that running a Queendom isn’t easy when you have no people skills and everyone hates you. But with a little help from her staff, she will try to change her ways.
Ali Waller (“American Dad,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”) will write and executive produce the Twentieth Century Fox Television project. Sophia Rossi will also exec produce.

Note that Fox News and Fox the network are two different things, please.
But seriously, Fox the network is doing interesting things and the man in charge is saying interesting things...most fascinating was when he basically said "fuck pilot season" He's open to ideas and realizes that network TV is changing.
Fox has awful shows, but not more than any other network and there are also some really good shows that are on the precipice of being great -- what they do have, most importantly, are excellent writers/actors/producers, etc. for the first time in a long time.
This version of Fox reminds me of what NBC used to be.
Its not looking good right now but I think it will need time for it to actually work.
Whashisface (I can't recall his name at the moment) made a comment to someone in his review that basically said what Fox is claiming to do is awful for the network in the short-term, but great in the long-term. TV is changing. The way people watch tv is changing. And Fox actually has a grasp on people who watch shows online or on their DVR. Neilsen ratings are a thing, but they'll be a thing of the past soon. It's coming...
And as far as diversity goes, Fox is doing it best (it's not perfect), I absolutely appreciate that a show like Brooklyn 99 is a thing and it's awesome because it's awesome and well written and that cast is diverse. Fox took a chance on Mindy Kaling when NBC failed her and she'll be loyal.
Fox is doing good-ish things, at the very least they're being proactive.
I'm not american but I'm really interested in american tv, its so diferent from here, its interesting.
yeah I really believe it, I remember Kevin saying some series had more audience on DVR/Hulu and then on live watching. And if you look you'll see that even if they do poorly in ratings, a lot of Fox shows are really talked about online.. there is a buzz about them bigger them the nielsen ratings would tell you. I hope they can actually suceed, I like bold moves.
I know, the fact that they are actually trying is something. you can't say the same for the others.
But in a way that could be really bad or really good.
