Pepsi's "Grammys Halftime" Ad

Since award season is surrounded by a TON of other pop culture moments, (we’re talking the Super Bowl, the Olympics) some of ‘em are bound to overlap. In fact, Pepsi brought that scenario to life when they gave the Grammys a halftime show, courtesy of a few football legends like Deion Sanders, Mika Ditka, Terry Bradshaw, and Shannon Sharpe.

So what are we talking about? Well, Pepsi brought up a great point. Every year, the Super Bowl has a halftime entertainment feature packed with celeb guests and artists jamming out, giving fans and players an experience of a lifetime. Pepsi and football greats decided to repay the favor with a commercial that answered the question, “What if the 56th Annual Grammy Awards had a halftime show?” How did they answer it? With some spoofs of course! One of them being a hilarious football interpretation of “Wrecking Ball.”

What would good ole’ Miley Cyrus think? If there was a song sequel, Mike Ditka might have just set himself up for a casting call.

Featuring Voice winner Cassadee Pope in her biggest appearance yet: dancing white girl #4. Aim high girl. It would kind of be cool/hilarious if they let the people who got shut out of a nomination perform at a half-time show. Or maybe they could put all the shitty performers at half-time so we could just skip it and give the good performances more time.
