Carly Rae Jepsen Tea Event Draws Only 20 Fans In Toronto

Carly Rae Jepsen may be losing her celebrity status a lot faster than she thinks. The “Call Me Maybe” star was only able to attract approximately 20 fans to a recent charity event in Toronto.

The 28-year-old singer hosted the event as a part of the Cup of Warmth Campaign, but according to sources, approximately only 20 fans showed up.

The event was supposed to raise money for charities that aid in hunger relief.

The venue, Davids Tea, reportedly promised to donate a cup of tea for every cup of tea bought by those who attended.

Despite the low turnout, Carly still happily took pictures with the fans that did show up. She even posted a picture with fans on her instagram.

She wrote along with the picture, “Tea party @davidstea gudhappens (sic).”

Carly Rae Jepsen is will be starring as Cinderella in the Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway production of Cinderella on Broadway.

The show will begin in February.
