It doesn't look like Cara Delevingne is going to slow down in 2014, as on New Year's Day she might have been nursing a hangover in bed, but she also had time to tweet a picture of her new magical campaign for Mulberry. Cara D is back in Mulbs, with a new group of furry friends, in the campaign shot by Tim Walker.
In the Autumn Winter campaign Cara carried owls and Willow totes in her paws, but as WWD reports, this time around she has a tea party with a tortoise named Pukka, a cockatoo called Spud and a pony known as Dusty. Cream tea with a horse? That's our kind of tea party.
The campaign was shot in the same location as her previous Mulbs campaign - Shotover House, an 18th century country mansion in Oxfordshire. The art director Cooke Newhouse added: 'The spring 2014 campaign was a beautiful but naughty tea party with Cara and her ark of animals — the perfect Mulberry moment. They didn’t have the best table manners, but Cara was very forgiving.'
Last year Cara said to Grazia Daily: 'Mulberry is such a great label. As well as being an iconic brand, the products are sexy and cool. It’s one of those brands that everyone needs a little bit of in their wardrobe. And it’s not just the handbags - the luggage is gorgeous and I especially love the trainers.'
Cara has her eyes on a Cara Delevingne bag, as when we asked her which was her favourite style she joked: 'My favourite Mulberry bag would be the Cara bag…actually that hasn’t been made yet! I want to design a Mulberry bag, there needs to be a Cara bag. I have so many ideas, Mulberry need to call me. And they have to let me design trainers too!'
Having dinner with a pony is an average day for Cara, as has no problem draping a snake around her neck or pouting with a flapping bird in her hair. A quick flick through her portfolio proves that she really DOES love working with animals. So far in the Cara Delevingne modelling menagerie there are giraffes, tarantulas, puppies, kittens, snakes, lizards, lemurs, owls and ducks.
