Actress and singer Selena Gomez has had to cancel her upcoming concert dates in Australia.
Ms Gomez has released the following statement:
“My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them. But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me.”
The cancellation of what was to be her first Australian tour came as surprise to Gomez' local promoter.
Cancellations are often code for poor sales but industry sources say Gomez' tour was selling strongly, due to a loyal fan base from her days as a child star.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for ticket holders.

For Ticketholders who purchased using a credit or debit card over the telephone, website or mobile site, the refund will be processed and no action is required.
Due to the upcoming holidays refunds may not be completed for approximately three weeks.
