Beyoncé was called out after Obama’s inauguration for lip-synching the national anthem. “All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois, a rep for [the United States Marine Band] told Page Six. “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyoncé was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know the reason why.” It was almost as awkward as that guy’s facial expression on the right.

2. Reese Witherspoon’s Arrest
After drinking a little too much in Atlanta, Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth drove under the influence. When they were pulled over, Reese tried to get out of the ticket. Apparently she started acting up, telling cops, “Do you know my name?” “You’re about to find out who I am … You are going to be on national news.” She was arrested for disorderly conduct. She then issued a statement to apologize and headed to Good Morning America to give an interview. We can forgive, but we won’t forget.

How do you solve a problem like Justin Bieber? This has been quite a year for the little Canadian pop star that could. Whether he was peeing in a bucket, saying inappropriate things about Anne Frank, trying to sneak underage kids into clubs, or hooking up with prostitutes in South America, JB clearly lived this year to the extreme.

Well, that took long enough. After 13 years of denying it, Lance Armstrong finally admitted to using drugs while cycling. He has since been banned from the sport.

5. Paula Deen’s Racial Slurs
Paula Deen was sued by an employee for multiple instances of workplace discrimination, both sexual and racial. When asked if she had used the n-word, she responded, “Yes, of course,” and gave examples of times she used the offensive term. “It’s just what they are — they’re jokes … most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks … I can’t determine what offends another person.” So, that’s just perfect. She also apparently asked black men to play the role of slaves at a wedding on her property. She apologized, but she still lost multiple endorsements and her deal with Food Network.

Amanda Bynes was arrested in May after she threw a bong out of an apartment building in NYC in front of cops. She has since been founded mentally unstable and has just finished her stay at a rehab facility in Los Angeles.
