They last appeared together on screen in Ocean's Twelve.
But close friends Julia Roberts, 46, and George Clooney, 52, were reunited at the 2013 BAFTA LA Awards in Beverly Hills on Saturday night.
The pair sat together during dinner, giggling and chatting throughout the evening - even holding hands to ensure they weren't parted.
Lucky Julia found herself seated next to the dashing actor at the event, which was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, and refused to relinquish her charming companion, even keeping a firm grasp of his hand when he was approached for a chat by Sean Penn.
The beautiful redhead, who looked elegant in black, even rested her head on George's shoulder, snuggling up to him as they watched the awards ceremony play out.
At one point, the pair was spotted laughing heartily over something George revealed on his phone.
Bespectacled Julia skipped the red carpet and inconspicuously took her place inside, happier to catch up with her friends than pose for the cameras.
While the pair haven't appeared onscreen together for nine years, Julia is about to appear in August: Osage County, which is co-produced by Clooney.
Roberts will appear in the black-comedy alongside Meryl Streep, Ewan McGregor and Juliette Lewis.
