
The video-sharing website YouTube held its first wards show today, called the YouTube Music Awards. Meant to honor and celebrate the hottest and most viral music videos from all over the world on Youtube, the website awarded artists, videos, and YouTube stars through six categories: Breakthrough of the Year, Response of the Year, Innovation of the Year, YouTube Phenomenon, Video of the Year, and Artist of the Year.
K-Pop stars were on the list of nominees; Girls’ Generation‘s “I Got a Boy” music video was up for the Video of the Year, and PSY was in several categories. His “Gangnam Style” was a nominee for YouTube Phenomenon, “Gentleman” was up for the Video of the Year, and PSY himself was up for the Artist of the Year.
