Good news for RiRi fans: The singer's holiday collection with MAC will not be her last rodeo with the cult favorite makeup brand. MAC announced via Twitter today that Rihanna will be the next spokesperson for the brand's Viva Glam lipstick campaign.
Viva Glam has been around since 1994, boasting spokespeople from Cyndi Lauper to Nicki Minaj to Ricky Martin. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the lipstick benefit AIDS research. The initiative has already raised over $250 million dollars for the MAC AIDS Fund.
Rihanna is a natural choice for the campaign, which is now famous for celebrating big, bold stars that inspire women to lead colorful lives. Considering the proven success of RiRi's partnership with MAC, from her RiRi Woo lipsticks to her three subsequent makeup collections, her Viva Glam campaign is bound to be a huge success. We can't wait to get our hands on the new shade — and support the cause. ETA: January 2014!
And no one was surprised ever. Still, I hope she does some more cool colors (and maybe not a matte this time around? Maybe?) or brings back the gone-too-soon Heaux. Anyway, MAKEUP POST! Ask questions, get answers, rave about shit.
