Britney revealed to fans during her Q & A on Tuesday her favorite author is Max Lucado (no relation to David), a best-selling author, writer and preacher in Texas who opposes gay marriage (he claims because God does).
Lucado wrote an article in 2004 titled “What God Says About Gay Marriage,” stating God created marriage for the union between man and woman. Anything outside that is considered a sin.
“How will homosexuality impact our culture? What about the spread of disease? If gay lifestyle and gay marriage is endorsed – what follows? Polygamy? Legalized incest? If we can’t draw a line, will lines be drawn at all?”
“Men and women were not intended for identical gender but opposite.”
He lists three reasons why God opposes homosexuality.
1. The legalization of gay marriages will erode the traditional family.
2. Legalized gay marriage will lead to legalized polygamy and other deviations.
3. The highest reason, however, for opposing gay marriage is simply this: God does.
Lucado says nothing can separate homosexuals from the love of God because “Jesus loves his gay children,” then continues ranting his archaic views. Excuse me, God’s archaic views.
Paparazzi caught Britney reading Lucado’s “Grace For The Moment” this summer:
+ a collection of daily writings from Lucado’s numerous bestsellers as well as a Scripture verse selected especially for that day’s reading.
Of course Britney doesn’t feel this way, but it’s pretty icky knowing she’s reading the shit this guy spews!
Britney recently told Alan Carr her song “Work Bitch” is a tribute for her gay fans, saying “It’s kind of like a respect to the gays as a term of endearment.”
