Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott filmed a private sex tape, but a friend felt it was up for grabs.
The actress revealed her acquaintance's thieving ways in her new memoir "Spelling It Like It Is," according to Us Weekly.
The former "Beverly Hills 90210" star rehashed how the couple's skin flick came about.
"Dean said, 'We should tape ourselves having sex,'" she wrote. "He had a little portable tripod, and he set up his video camera on it."
After the actress viewed the finish product and gave the "ok" the couple, who have been married for seven years, uploaded the steamy footage to their home computer. But their snafu was that the amateur porno was "without password protection."
McDermott's questionable friend snagged the tape and copied it. While it didn't surface immediately, two years later another confidante informed Spelling's hubby that it was being shopped around.
"I was horrified," she wrote.
Although Spelling indicated that "we never heard from him again, and the incident went away," the tape has reportedly leaked.
But, thankfully, the video hasn't gone public. However, several other details about Spelling's life has, thanks to her book.
She also revealed financial troubles in her marriage, which prevented McDermott from getting a vasectomy.
"I came from nothing so when you're successful and get a little cash, you go a little crazy," McDermott said on Access Hollywood to explain why he didn't get the procedure.
How convenient the timing is for this.
