Britney Spears eighth studio album is rumoured to feature a duet with none other than Lady Gaga however the record's track listing and any collaborations have yet to be confirmed.

Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am sparked the rumours when he tweeted Lady Gaga mentioning a song title from Britney's upcoming album 'Britney Jean.'

The 'I Got a Feeling' man replied to Gaga's tweet about her new album and its artwork saying: “@ladygaga I like it a lot... #creativeALIEN.”

It has led people to believe that Brit and the 'Applause' singer may be teaming up as it was revealed yesterday that she has a song called 'Aliens' on her forthcoming album. It would not be the first time they have worked together as Gaga wrote the song 'Quicksand' for her 2008 album 'Circus.'

Will.i.am is the executive producer on 'Britney Jean' and has therefore already heard the song, he revealed on Twitter:

“The song @britneyspears did with #williamORBIT is fabulous and out of this world... #THEbritneyARMYwillBEproud.”

To which Britney replied: “@iamwill @williamorbit That song is from another planet. I hope Earth is ready!!! :).”

Britney's album 'Britney Jean' is due for release on December 3 and her current single 'Work B***h' is out now.
