The 25-year-old brought the 97-date tour to Johannesburg yesterday where she performed tracks from her latest album 'Unapologetic' in addition to some of her former hits and it was undoutedbly one of her biggest live shows to date with RiRi entertaining more than 67,000 fans. As if that wasn't impressive enough, Rihanna has apparently broken a record for becoming the youngest female artist to play a sold-out show at the stadium.
Sharing news of her incredible achievement with her Navy, RiRi tweeted ahead of the show yesterday: “Rihanna's show tonight in South Africa will be one of the biggest audiences ever for a female artist and the youngest ever to sellout the stadium.”
“Sold out stadium show in #Johannesburg !!! Over 67'000 people #Jah. #histoRIH,” RiRi later tweeted.
Rihanna has just completed the Australian leg of the tour and will perform a show in Cape Town on October 16 before moving onto the Middle East and then a string of final shows back in North America with the last date taking place in New Orleans on November 15.
Despite travelling across the world, the 'We Found Love' singer has somehow managed to find time to put out new music after premiering the music video for her latest single and stripper anthem 'Pour It Up' earlier this month.
The video, which has clocked up more than 47 million views so far, sees Rihanna hop onto the stripper pole herself while a group of dancers show off their twerking skills. The x-rated video caused some controversy after being temporarily banned from YouTube not long after its debut and has been deemed RiRi's raunchiest video yet.
