"Nashville" actor (and "Game of Thrones" newcomer) Michiel Huisman has joined the hit BBC America show as a man named Cal Morrison. TVLine describes the character as "a rugged, resourceful outdoorsman with surprising emotional depth and a sixth sense about people and situations. Cal will need all his wits and humanity as he crosses paths with the clones. His journey will be fraught with surprise, danger, and revelations he could never see coming."
Also joining "Orphan Black's" second season are two "Nikita" alums. Peter Outerbridge, best known as Ari on The CW series, will play the recurring character Henrik "Hank" Johanssen, "a mercurial modern-day cowboy. Johanssen leads a flock of followers that have broken away from the old world "Prolethean" brotherhood. Under his messianic vision, the age old divide between science and religion has merged, forming a new and formidable threat."
Then there's Ari Millen, who played a one-off character named Ronnie in the "Nikita" episode "2.0." He'll portray Johanssen's follower Mark, who is described as a "cunning predator with a dark edge. Mark is utterly devoted to Johanssen, who took him in and built him into a true believer in the cause. Now, guided by twisted morality and desperate faith, he's a relentless and dogged pursuer of the clones."
"Orphan Black" Season 2 is slated to premiere in April 2014.
YASSSSSSS to Michiel signing on for what I've heard is an amazing show. I have this ready and waiting on my Apple TV, but haven't had the time to marathon it. But with Canadian Thanksgiving, I think it's the perfect time to settle in. He's also apparently in the new Reese Witherspoon movie, 'Wild'.
Touché mods on the initial rejection reason on this post. Hopefully it's been fixed to your liking.
