One Direction's film 'This Is Us' wows the Golden Globes judges

The boyband’s first feature film This Is Us is gaining momentum within the movie circuit in Hollywood.

And judges on the Golden Globes panel have given it the thumbs up, US sources say.

Simon, 53, is the executive producer on the movie, which is tipped to earn him a staggering £200million.

It is likely to land nominations for best documentary feature, best original score and best original song for the band’s hit Best Song Ever.

The Fab Five – Harry Styles, 19, Liam Payne, 19, Louis Tomlinson, 21, Niall Horan, 19, and Zayn Malik, 20 – are also likely to hit the movie award circuit in Hollywood next spring.

A Golden Globes insider revealed: “The One Direction film was really greeted with positive views. The story of it and examination of their lives made it interesting and the songs will definitely be shortlisted.”
