Not only will JT once again grace the VMA stage, but, in recognition of his remarkable string of music videos — from the dark "Cry Me A River" and the futuristic "Rock Your Body" to recent work like the stylish "Suit & Tie" and the haunting "Mirrors" — he'll also receive the coveted MIchael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, joining a prestigious list of past recipients that includes the King of Pop himself, not to mention Madonna and Britney Spears.
JT is just the latest superstar confirmed to appear at the 2013 VMAs, joining a list that already includes Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards air live on Sunday, August 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn! [MTV]
