Randy Orton and Wife Samantha Reportedly Divorce

WWE Superstar Randy Orton may very well be Mr. Money in the Bank on Sunday if he is able to outlast six other men in the WWE Championship contract Money in the Bank ladder match, but perhaps he is deserving of that moniker already based on his surprisingly advantageous divorce settlement.

According to TMZ, Orton and his wife of six years, Samantha, have gotten divorced after separating last year. The divorce order was signed in June after Samantha filed for divorce back in March.

Professional athletes are normally hit pretty hard from a proprietary perspective when they get divorced, but that doesn't appear to be the case with Orton. According to TMZ, Orton gets to keep his 2012 Range Rover, 2011 Bentley, 2009 Harley Davidson, gun collection, jewelry and one house.

He also retains the rights to several six-figure bank accounts as well as the entirety of his WWE contract, which reportedly pays him $291,666 per month.

That isn't to say Samantha comes away looking like a pauper, as she will keep her 2013 Infiniti as well as her jewelry and a $654,317 bank account. Samantha also has full custody of their four-year-old daughter, but Orton will receive visitation and will pay Samantha $4,500 per month in child support.

The divorce certainly can't be easy for any of the parties involved, but Orton has to be happy with the way the division of property ultimately played out.

With his personal issues behind him, the focus now shifts to Orton's career as a WWE Superstar. He has floundered to some degree in recent years, as he has largely been outside the world title picture since dropping the World Heavyweight Championship to Mark Henry at Night of Champions back in 2011.

Orton will have a golden opportunity to get back in the spotlight if he is able to nab the briefcase on Sunday night, however. The Viper has to be considered one of the favorites to win Money in the Bank, and it wouldn't be a big shock to see him cash in on John Cena to win the WWE Championship on the same night.

Orton's character has seemingly shifted over the past several weeks, and there is a belief that an official heel turn is just around the corner. Cashing in on Cena would solidify it and unquestionably make him a much more intriguing character moving forward.

Sorry mods! Fixed it now!

I'm here to comfort you if you need it Randal.
