It looks like Ben Affleck has joined the bling ring.
The 40-year-old actor flashed a grin while having lunch in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood on Tuesday with fellow director David Fincher and debuted two gold-capped teeth.
His glitzy chompers, placed on one of his top molars and one of his lower bicuspids, could be the result of a dental dilemma or could be for an upcoming movie role.
The Oscar winner definitely isn't a stranger to the dentist's office. For his role in "Armageddon" it was rumored that director Michael Bay asked the Boston-bred star to see a cosmetic dentist to have his pearly whites fixed. Whether Affleck followed through on the rumored request or hit the dentist's chair on his own accord, one thing is for sure — he has a much nicer smile than he did upon arriving in Tinsletown. However, we've never seen the gold caps until now.
Next up, Affleck is slated to star in crime drama "Runner Runner" opposite Justin Timberlake and Leonardo DiCaprio, which hits theaters September 27. The Hollywood golden boy (pardon the pun) will play a corrupt poker website owner who lures a young college student, Timberlake, into being his protégé. Since he doesn't display gold teeth in that movie, we can only suspect that the new accessories are either for his next project, "Live By Night," or perhaps he just wanted to look a little like fellow gold teeth lovers, Charlie Sheen, Ke$ha, Rihanna, and Chris Brown.
Whatever the reason for his new toothies, we’re not exactly fans of the new look. But we guess we'll have to just grin and bear it …
