Lindsay Lohan is getting yet another intervention, but this time it’s to steer clear of any extended time with her mother Dina! Lohan, who is more than halfway through her court-ordered rehab stint at Cliffside Malibu, had been planning on living with her mom back in Long Island after her rehab stint, but her rehab counselors are trying to tell her that it’s a bad idea. Lohan’s counselors are concerned that her mom could be both an enabler and a bad influence, which could lead to a relapse.
Lohan is being advised by her rehab counselors to move into a sober living facility, but Lohan is reportedly against the idea of living with strangers any longer than necessary, and is longing for the comforts of home. "[Lindsay and Dina] have been known to go out clubbing and drinking together. Lindsay doesn’t need a friend in her parents, she needs Dina to act as her mother,” an insider said to Radar Online. “However, Lindsay has no desire to move into a sober living facility.”
Despite earning millions throughout her career, money is also reportedly a concern for Lohan as she finds a new place to live. Although she cleared nearly $2 million in 2011 through movie projects and various promotional appearances, most of that went towards her insane legal fees. Lohan also owed over $290,000 in unpaid taxes to the IRS for unpaid bills between the years of 2009-2011. Her Scary Movie 5 co-star Charlie Sheen wrote her a $100,000 check to cover her 2009 debt, but Lohan still ended up being responsible for well over half the total debt.
However, what money can’t buy Lohan (outside of rehab, of course) is a supportive group of people who are vested in her sobriety. She has also talked about staying with friends, but, according to the source, that “opens up another can of worms because most of her pals are party animals….time will tell how seriously she is taking her latest stint at recovery.”
Meanwhile, Dina told the New York Daily News that her daughter would “definitely” begin her new sober life back at home, adding that she was looking forward to seeing Lohan before then. “We’re going to work it out to all go visit her again and then we’re planning a pool party,” she said.
When Lohan finishes her rehab stint, she has reportedly been hired by entertainment website Celebuzz to blog about “lessons learned” during her rehab experience.
sounds like a good plan, nothing will go wrong, she'll remain 100% sober, her career will be better than ever, etc. etc.
