Actor James Van Der Beek had his private thoughts on humans drinking cow’s milk validated yesterday after reading an article by Dr. Mark Hyman titled, “Got Proof? Lack of Evidence for Milk’s Benefits”.
The former “Dawson’s Creek” star tweeted, “I KNEW sucking a cow’s udder was a weird thing for a human to do…Great article via @KimberlilyVDB @unhealthytruth”.
The article argues that, “There is no biological requirement for cow’s milk. It is nature’s perfect food but only if you are a calf. The evidence of its benefits is overstated, and the evidence of its harm to human populations is increasing.”
We don’t know exactly what Van Der Beek eats or doesn’t eat or if he follows a specific diet, but based on some advice his wife gave to new mothers, we bet his meals are heavy on veggies and light on animal products. In a guest blog for People, Kimberly Van Der Beek recommends to families that they should “eat less meat”, “go dairy free” and “start a garden”. That sounds like advocating for raising a vegan baby to us.
Not that we’re surprised that the Van Der Beeks choose plants over animals when it comes to diet. If you saw the actor on “Don’t Trust The B—- in Apt 23″, you know that his physique is positively chiseled.
